Wantted is a Crochet Brand founded by Tahshara Smith. After her grandmother taught her how to knit, she developed an interest in a simple hook and yarn. She became invested during one of her podcast sessions while learning about tension with a hook and yarn. This curiosity grew as she explored what she could create. Tahshara decided to mix and match colors and designs. Frustration and confusion transformed the young girl into an eager learner, motivated to make and bring to life pieces of art. Gaining confidence from creator Lewa Adewumi (such as the X Granny Hats) and Kendall Tai (such as the bucket hats), she decided to create colorful yet stylish pieces. Running a business was in the back of her mind; after completing an internship at Youth Business Initiative, Tahshara learned and obtained knowledge about the behind-the-scenes aspects of running a business. She finally took a huge leap, leaning on Thee Most High to guide her, and created Wantted.
